PETER DÖHLE Schiffahrts-KG, part of the Döhle Group, has chosen sEaLearn as the core of their ongoing Competence Development program for their seafarers. The Döhle Group operates the largest number of tramp-owned container vessels in the world, among a diverse fleet of 375 vessels which include bulk carriers, multi-purpose vessels and coasters, all crewed by their pool of 4,800 seafarers.

The sEaLearn platform developed, by IDESS IT, is part of a fully integrated Competence Assurance System that manages all aspects of training and assessment, supporting skills retention through continual learning. The platform’s basic design can be adapted to meet the competence management requirements of any profession, both ashore and afloat, reaching beyond the maritime industry.

The sEaLearn system has a proven track record of stability and ease of use, having a base structure that is able to be customized to deliver the specific functions required by each client.

The platform is HTML5 compliant, accessible online on any device, or offline onboard, when broadband connectivity is limited.

The IDESS IT infrastructure and sEaLearn platform meet the E.U.’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) standards.

Currently the system has a library of 204 e-learning modules covering 613 topics. sEaLearn’s platform flexibility also allows clients to add third-party SCORM compliant e-learning modules from any source, as well as company produced material such as videos, power point presentations, safety bulletins, newsletters etc.

sEaLearn’s comprehensive and easy to use administrator functionality provides:
